Rehabilitation : treatment in the UK

Rehabilitation centres and rehabilitation services such as brain injury rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation are widely available in the private sector in the UK.

Rehabilitation is the term used to describe the process of physically restoring to health sick, injured or disabled people. Usually it is applied to a combination of treatments, therapies and even re-education used following serious injury such as acquired brain injury, causing impairment to the normal functioning of body and or brain. Injury may be the result of accident or conditions such as stroke.

Rehabilitation is also used to refer to psychiatric therapies used to help people recover their lives following addictions.
