Specialist equipment

Discovery CT7500HD computerised tomography (CT) scanner
  • The Discovery CT7500HD computerised tomography (CT) scanner gives quicker scan times, with improved image quality for all areas of the body while reducing the radiation dose by 50%. Clinicians can now run full cardiac CT scanning, and analyse fine vessels and structures they could not visualise with previous CT Scanners. A full body scan can be carried out in just 10 seconds

  • Newly updated Phillips FD 20 / 20 Bi-plane angiography suite offering the most up to date technology including 3D imaging - currently available in London - enabling consultants to make clear and fast diagnoses and perform complex procedures

  • Electrophysiology studies and cardiac ablation. For the diagnosis and treatment Cardiac arrhythmias, including Carto 3 for the most advanced 3D mapping possible today.

Diagnostic services

All investigations are performed by trained specialists under the direct supervision of a consultant:

 

    • Electrocardiograms (ECGs) (resting and conventional treadmill); ambulatory ECGs/Holter with 1-7 day long-term reveal device

    • Stress echo imaging

    • Bubble studies

    • Echocardiograms with Doppler, 24hr blood pressure monitoring

    • Myoview exercise tests, giving greater sensitivity  to detect  minor cardiac defects

    • Angiography

You will be catered for in single en-suite bedrooms

Cardiac surgery

The hospital offers a wide range of procedures including:

  • Coronary artery bypass grafts and cardio pulmonary bypasses and valve replacement procedures are performed by internationally renowned Cardiac Surgeons. Surgeons are supported by specialist cardiac theatre practitioners and nurses

  • Off-pump ’beating heart’ coronary artery bypass graft – means shorter time in theatre and less patient stress

  • Minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass

  • Coronary valve repair and replacement

  • Gamma Knife surgery

 

Following surgery, patients are expertly cared for - firstly in the intensive care unit and then in the high dependency unit - before completing their recovery in the cardiac ward.  Here their continuing care is supervised by qualified doctors providing medical cover twenty-four hours a day.

Luxury suites

The luxurious King and Queen Suites are located on the Penthouse level with exclusive access and offer spacious accommodation.

 

Access is by a dedicated private entrance so your car can be driven directly into the exclusive secure private car park.  On entering the private entrance the dedicated penthouse lift is just a few steps away.

 

The suites benefit from luxury carpeting; parquet flooring, air-conditioning; subtle lighting; together with one-way security glass windows, and custom-made security doors.  There is a full-service kitchen, where if required special meals can be prepared to order, and supplies brought in if necessary from nearby stores such as Harrods Food Hall, Wholefoods and specialist stores, as well as some of the world’s finest restaurants.

 

There is a nurses station serving both suites which is staffed by dedicated team on-call twenty four hours a day.

King and Queen Rooms

We have a number of high quality spacious rooms available adjoining both the King and Queen Suites, and which are ideal for family members, companions and assistants.  Two of these rooms can be combined to provide a mini-suite of bedroom, and adjoining sitting room with two bathrooms.
