The WinterBluesTest is designed to help you find out if your lack of energy is in fact being caused by the winter blues, or its more serious form, winter depression. It is based on the Seasonal Pattern Assessment Questionnaire, developed by winter-blues experts Rosenthal, Bradt and Wehr.

This questionnaire is used by leading clinics and hospitals to test for winter blues and winter depression. The online test you find here was developed in close collaboration with Dr. Ybe Meesters, clinical psychologist at the Winter Depression Clinic at Groningen Academic Hospital, the Netherlands. For many years, Dr. Meesters has successfully used bright light to treat people with winter depression. The test is anonymous and your answers will only be used for the purposes of this test. They will not be kept on file in any way.
